What is an online condolence register?
An online condolence register is a digital place where family, friends and acquaintances express their sympathy after a death. With Goodbyz, guests leave a personal message, share photos and can record a video message. The bereaved family reads everything back in their own dashboard.
How do online condolences work with Goodbyz?
Guests open the condolence register through a QR code or link and enter a PIN code. They then write their message and can add photos and a video message. They can also leave their email address and phone number and indicate whether the family may contact them.
How much does Goodbyz cost?
Gold costs €299 one-time (regular price €349), Premium costs €349 one-time and Extended Keepsake costs €9 per month. See all details on the packages and pricing page.
How many guests can leave a message?
Up to 50 guests can leave a contribution with Gold and up to 150 guests with Premium. Each guest can leave a message, share photos and record a video message.
How long are messages, photos and videos kept?
Within the download period of your package you can download all memories: 30 days with Gold and 90 days with Premium. To keep the memories available for longer, choose Extended Keepsake for €9 per month, cancellable monthly. We keep personal data no longer than necessary for the service and in line with legal obligations.
Do I also get a funeral card?
Yes. With Gold and Premium you create a free print-ready funeral card design in your dashboard (A5, as PDF) with the QR code to the online condolence register. You arrange the printing yourself or through your funeral director.
Can I download or export the memories?
Yes. Within the download period of your package you can download the memories: 30 days with Gold and 90 days with Premium.
Who can see the messages?
Guests need a QR code or link and a PIN code to leave a message. All contributions are collected in the family's private dashboard, which you access by logging in to your account.
How does Goodbyz handle privacy and the GDPR?
Astream B.V. is responsible for processing personal data. We collect personal data you provide yourself, such as name, email address and messages, and use it to provide the service, customer support and communications. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data and do not share it with third parties unless necessary for the service or legally required. You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data. Read more in our privacy policy.
Are messages moderated?
Each guest is responsible for their own contribution. Messages that are unlawful, offensive or discriminatory, or that infringe the rights of others, are not allowed. Astream B.V. may remove content that violates the terms of use or is inappropriate. Would you like a contribution removed? Email us at info@goodbyz.com.
How do I cancel Extended Keepsake?
Extended Keepsake can be cancelled monthly. Contact us through the contact form or at info@goodbyz.com.
Can I offer Goodbyz as a funeral director?
Yes. Funeral directors can offer families a Goodbyz condolence register, on request also under their own name and branding (white-label). Read more for funeral directors.
